Based in Birmingham, I am a marketing professional with a passion for providing informative and imaginative solutions for my clients. 


After leaving university with a business degree from the University of Bath in 2002, I spent 6 years working in the marketing departments of several market leading professional firms and a public sector organisation. 


From managing web projects, to copywriting, to developing sales plans and communications strategies, I have covered a broad range of marketing disciplines.  This has left me with broad marketing experience and strong commercial instincts.


Now as a freelancer I apply my commercial awareness to my marketing assignments.  I understand the pressure of deadlines, the need to attract the right audience, win profitable new work and consistently deliver high standards.

Career highlights

Wragge & Co – Business Development Manager

A senior marketing role for a top 20 UK legal firm’s corporate department, offered me a fantastic experience of the fast paced environment of mergers and acquisitions.  A dynamic and varied role where I was doing everything from researching new markets, and driving new marketing initiatives, to developing marketing plans and preparing winning pitches and proposals.


GVA Grimley - National Marketing Manager

From working with the design team on advertising to managing events and PR, my role at the international property consultancy gave me lots of opportunity to unleash my creative side.   During my time at GVA Grimley, I took a leading role in a number of major projects, including the roll out of a new brand and the complete refresh of the intranet and website. 


Learning & Skills Council (LSC) - Internal Communications Executive

Working for a government funded body provided me with a different perspective on marketing.  I joined the LSC in this newly created role following a period of redundancies and reorganisation.  My task was to develop internal communications that engaged the staff and encouraged clear communication - upwards and downwards - across the Birmingham & Solihull region.


Ernst & Young - Sales and marketing support

After working for Ernst & Young in London during a university placement, I joined their south region marketing team shortly after graduating.  Working for this Big Four accountancy firm gave me early experience of the strategic role of sales and marketing in a high pressured professional services environment.  I also achieved my CIM Diploma in Marketing whilst in this position.
