Being a freelance writer is more than being able to string a few words together in a clear and concise way.  They’re just the basics. Creating successful editorial is all about identifying with your target audience, understanding their interests and then providing engaging ideas, copy and articles that meet all time, budget and space requirements. I apply this commercially focused approach to my writing. 

I write features, online content, blog posts, newsletters, sales and marketing copy, press releases, reviews, I love interviewing ... and am always enthusiastic to try something new. I love variety; it makes life exciting. And this is reflected in the range of clients I work for.  From national publications to regional and trade magazines,  blue chip corporate clients to small design agencies and SMEs, I love taking on a new writing challenge.

This may be tackling a difficult subject, coming up with a new perspective on a topic or bringing a technical subject to life. My background of working in professional legal, accountancy and property practices means I have a particular skill for taking complex information and presenting it in a clear, accessible and readable way.
